Raine & Horne Foundation

Initially, we might have all come together through our mutual affinity for real estate, but it is our passion for social responsibility and being part of Australia's landscape for more than 140 years that has bound us together.

Our Mission

Raine & Horne has been helping make Australian property dreams a reality since our very first day on the job in 1883 — and with the launch of The Raine & Horne Foundation, we’re continuing to expand our longstanding reputation for helping those in need outside.

Working together to make a difference

The Raine & Horne Foundation solidifies and represents 138 years (and counting) of charitable giving. Dedicated to providing support for Australia’s future well-being, welfare, and environment, each year we will select worthy causes to focus the foundation’s efforts on. The Raine & Horne Foundation will be another way for our Network to work together and improve the lives of people in our local communities and other causes.

Our Foundation Board Members

The Raine & Horne Foundation is made up of a dedicated board that includes executive chairman Angus Raine, veteran financial manager Doug McCluskey, and the Franchise Advisory Council (FAC). FAC is a group of representative franchisees that offer strategic advice. As you can see, the Raine & Horne Foundation will be moving forward in great hands.

Angus Raine
Executive Chairman

A leading Australian property commentator and Executive Chairman of the Raine & Horne property group. Angus commenced his real estate career outside the family business, determined to forge his own identity. Starting out like other young real estate recruits, Angus soon earned his stripes and eventually cut some of the biggest commercial deals in the Sydney market over a stellar 15-year career, with three major blue-chip international real estate firms. He returned to the family fold as a director of Raine & Horne Holdings Pty Limited in 1998.

Brian Reid
Responsible Person

Brian has had extensive experience in the real estate sector, having worked with a number of major national franchise networks. In addition to his franchising background, he has held several board positions and has acted as consultant to industry-related organisations in both property and finance.

Raine & Horne
Franchise Advisory Council

The Franchise Advisory Council (FAC) is made up of a group of representative franchisors across the Raine & Horne network. This council was established to offer advice, amongst other things, on the creation and implementation of programs across the organisation. The FAC also advises on the expenditure of the Marketing Fund and other general matters concerning franchisees.

Fire Halo™

We are thrilled to announce an exciting new partnership between Fire Halo™ and the Raine & Horne Foundation, a collaboration aimed at protecting Australian homes during the upcoming bushfire season. The Raine & Horne Foundation has joined forces with Fire Halo™, a fellow Australian owned company, who offer innovative products designed to safeguard homes from the threat of bushfires. What is Fire Halo™? Recently featured on Shark Tank Australia, Fire Halo™ products connect to downpipes (or water tank feeder pipes) utilising the main water supply, and flood the rooftop guttering system. This ensures debris is saturated and significantly reduces rogue embers from setting dry leaves alight. Ember entry and associated spot fires account for 75-80%* of homes destroyed by bushfires, and Fire Halo products could be the difference in saving Australian homes.

For every Fire Halo™ product purchased by the Raine & Horne network, the Raine & Horne Foundation will contribute $10 to the Red Cross Disaster Relief & Recovery FundTo donate to the Red Cross, click Donate below.

2022 - 2023 Partnerships

Dignity

The Raine & Horne Foundation, in collaboration with Dignity, has been at the forefront of various initiatives aimed at supporting Australians in need and raising awareness about their struggles. Key achievements to date include the establishment of the Raine & Horne Foundation House in Sydney, our unique initiative involving Christmas Gingerbread Houses to every office, and the sale of 3,000 pairs of Swanky Socks in our 'Take a Walk in their Socks' campaign. Our efforts also extend to publishing coffee table books and engaging in corporate volunteering across the country. This is no small feat and an amazing testament to the Raine & Horne Network who have contributed funds to the Raine & Horne Foundation since 2021.

The Great Barrier Reef Foundation

The Raine & Horne Foundation has donated $100,000 to the Great Barrier Reef Foundation to support the monitoring of Australia’s iconic World Heritage Listed Great Barrier Reef and in particular Raine Island, one of the Reef’s most remote islands located 620 kilometres north-west of Cairns in Wuthathi Sea Country. The donation will enable QUT researchers to develop a more effective way to count and track the island’s vulnerable marine turtle and seabird populations using Artificial Intelligence (AI), building on the world-leading conservation program to protect and restore Raine Island pioneered by the Foundation, BHP, Queensland Government, Great Barrier Reef Marine Park Authority, and Wuthathi People and Meriam Nation (Ugar, Mer, Erub) People.
