Raine & Horne Commercial makes Windsor its castle

Media release - 24th October, 2013

Fifteenth Sydney office for Raine & Horne Commercial

Leading real estate group Raine & Horne Commercial is continuing to flex its muscles with the opening of a new office in Windsor, located on Sydney’s historic Hawkesbury River.

Raine & Horne Commercial Windsor is the group’s fifteenth commercial office in Sydney, and the Hawkesbury region’s only locally-based commercial real estate firm.

Angus Raine, Executive Chairman and CEO of Raine & Horne Commercial, confirmed that Raine & Horne Commercial Windsor will be adeptly led by experienced local agent Peter Khan, the principal of the highly-successful Raine & Horne Windsor for the last 25 years.

“Raine & Horne Commercial Windsor will concentrate on delivering our firm’s unique property services to the expanding commercial, retail and industrial hubs of Windsor, South Windsor, Mulgrave, Riverstone, McGraths Hill, Richmond, North Richmond and Wilberforce,” says Mr Raine.

“Peter and his team have been delivering commercial real estate services for many years and he has now recognised the enormous potential of opening a dedicated commercial office focused on the commercial precincts in Windsor, South Windsor and surrounding suburbs, as well as the additional leverage that operating under the Raine & Horne Commercial brand delivers.”

Mr Khan believes it is the right time to establish a dedicated commercial office as local owner-occupiers, investors and businesses are dissatisfied with having to deal with agents with limited knowledge of the Hawkesbury’s commercial real estate markets.

“The region is serviced primarily by commercial agents located in Penrith or the Hills District, which are at least 30 minutes from Windsor,” says Mr Khan.

“There are no specialist commercial agents located in Windsor, Richmond or Riverstone, so Raine & Horne Commercial Windsor will fill the gap.”

While Mr Khan has extensive commercial real estate capability, he has also added experienced commercial agent and local businessman, Noel Bridge, to the team at Raine & Horne Commercial Windsor.

“Noel’s experience dates back to 1976 when he started with an independent real estate agency in Richmond, and includes stints in other local industries, which means he understands the needs of owner-occupiers, business owners and investors and the unique opportunities offered by the Hawkesbury region.”

According to Mr Khan, affordability is the major attraction of the Hawkesbury’s burgeoning commercial real estate markets such as Windsor and Richmond.

For instance, light industrial space in Windsor leases for about $70 per square metre.

“Owner-occupiers and investors who are being priced out of Parramatta, Penrith or the Hills are identifying Windsor and Richmond as affordable markets with long-term growth prospects,” says Mr Khan.

“It’s also fair to say that the region is well-serviced with excellent road and rail links, which are increasingly bringing more business opportunities to the Hawkesbury region and creating a growing market for commercial real estate assets.”

Raine & Horne Commercial Windsor will be located at Shop 25/227 George Street, Windsor and for commercial sales, leasing and management enquiries, call 02 4577 5282.
