Rebranded Raine & Horne Commercial office adds more experience in Macarthur

NOVEMBER 14, 2014
  • Raine & Horne Campbelltown will now be known as Raine & Horne Macarthur
  • Experienced commercial agent Gregory May has joined the team, and says the opportunities for industrial property growth are very strong
  • The region’s population growth and local workforce will also underpin demand for industrial property
  • The affordability of industrial space as well as the availability of land is attracting business to Sydney’s south-west corridor

Leading south-west Sydney commercial property firm, Raine & Horne Commercial Campbelltown, has taken the decision to rebrand as Raine & Horne Commercial Macarthur, effective immediately.

Gregory May (L) and Daniel Krobot“The name change more readily reflects our commercial footprint, which includes Campbelltown, Camden, Liverpool, Wollondilly, Wingecarribee and Goulburn Mulwaree LGAs,” says Daniel Krobot, co-principal, Raine & Horne Commercial Macarthur.

As part of the new direction, experienced commercial agent and auctioneer Gregory May has joined Mr Krobot as a co-principal at the rebadged office.

Mr May’s extensive career portfolio covers the sales and leasing of commercial, industrial, office and retail assets. He also worked for 12 years with another commercial property network, and has owned and operated the successful independents, Cook & May and May Estates Pty Ltd.

“My objective is to further develop the established Raine & Horne Commercial business in the very active south-western corridor of Sydney,” says Mr May.

“As part of the revamped Raine & Horne Commercial Macarthur team, I'll be able to offer a broader scope of professional services to new and established clients, including asset management and specialist recovery services for insolvency practitioners, administrators and receivers.”

The experienced commercial agent’s shift to the yellow and black colours of Raine & Horne Commercial has been timed to perfection.

“Sydney’s south-western corridor will be a major engine of growth that will drive the NSW economy in coming decades,” says Mr May.

“The region’s population is set to mushroom given it’s the only part of Sydney that still has some land available for residential subdivisions.”

The region’s population is currently 250,000, according to Macarthur Regional Organisation of Councils (MACROC).

“A spike in population will deliver more opportunities for business and fortunately there is still land available that is perfect for additional industrial developments.”

According to Mr May, demand for industrial space is being driven by small- to medium-sized manufacturers as well as those firms providing ancillary services to the housing, civil construction and mining sectors.

“There is also good demand for pre-leased, purpose-built industrial facilities which are difficult to accommodate in other parts of greater Sydney,” says Mr May.

“Industrial space in the Macarthur region leases for between $75 and $90 per square metre depending on the age of the property and the clearance offered by the facility, making it a very affordable option when compared with other locations.”
