Brisbane office dominates commercial property awards

Media release - 29th August, 2013

R&H Commercial Brisbane North wins Top Office award four years running

Raine & Horne Commercial Brisbane North proved the big winner at the recent Raine & Horne National Awards, landing a number of coveted prizes in the commercial property categories.

Raine & Horne Commercial Brisbane North was named best Commercial Office based on dollar value for a fourth year in a row, while principal Trent Bruce secured the Top Commercial Salesperson (Dollar Value) award for the 2012/13 financial year.

“This is a fantastic performance from Raine & Horne Commercial Brisbane North given that Raine & Horne Commercial Canberra is a recent winner of the Real Estate Institute of Australia’s commercial agency of the year, and a regular placegetter at industry awards,” said Ben Lindsay, National Business Support & Development Manager, Raine & Horne Commercial.

“To win the top commercial office for a fourth year is testament that this is not a flash-in-the pan victory, and it underlines the excellent internal procedures that Trent Bruce has put in place to ensure Raine & Horne Commercial Brisbane North delivers the very best level of sales and leasing services.”

The win by Hudson Dale also emphasises the value of hard work in a difficult leasing market according to Mr Lindsay, with the Property Council of Australia indicating that vacancy rates for Brisbane’s fringe commercial suburbs such as Fortitude Valley, Albion and Bowen Hills has blown out from 9.6% in July 2010 to 11.8%.

“There are no easy commercial markets at the moment, but Raine & Horne Commercial Brisbane North have focussed on the industrial suburbs north of the CBD, which are starting to show some form,” said Mr Lindsay.

Despite the dominance of the Brisbane office, Raine & Horne Commercial Canberra still collected gold, with Steve Burke named Top Commercial Salesperson for Leasing Values, while Steven Dick, Principal of Raine & Horne Commercial Newcastle, was named the network’s top commercial salesperson for number of sales.

Also demonstrating the commitment of Raine & Horne to Australia’s commercial property sector, Raine & Horne Commercial Penrith was recognised for 20 years of service, while Raine & Horne Commercial Brisbane Southside was acknowledged for its 15 years with the 130-year old real estate network.

Raine & Horne Commercial Campbelltown and Raine & Horne Commercial Canberra were also recognised for a decade of service.
