- Raine & Horne appoints First AML as nationwide compliance partner
Raine & Horne has selected First AML as its preferred anti-money laundering (AML) compliance partner for its national network of offices. This milestone further solidifies First AML’s position as the trusted provider of end-to-end AML solutions purpose-built for Australia’s real estate and legal sector.
As Tranche 2 AML reforms bring real estate businesses into the regulated fold, Raine & Horne’s decision highlights its proactive approach to protecting clients and upholding its reputation built over more than 142 years.
“Real estate is in our blood, and so is doing the right thing by our clients,” said Chris Nicholl, CEO of Raine & Horne.
“The First AML partnership gives our offices a market-leading compliance platform, and the strategic alliance First AML has with Alpha AML Training and One AML creates a genuine one-stop-shop solution that makes transitioning to Tranche 2 as straightforward as possible for our network.”
Raine & Horne’s appointment of First AML follows the recent announcement by the Real Estate Institute of Australia, which named First AML as its preferred national AML partner - reinforcing growing confidence in First AML’s solution across both industry bodies and the sector’s leading businesses.
Milan Cooper, CEO of First AML, said: “We are proud to support such an iconic Australian brand as it strengthens its compliance posture under Tranche 2. Our long-standing presence on the ground in Australia means we understand the local market and its unique challenges - we’re not a fly-in, fly-out multinational.
"Our integrated platform, supported by our strategic alliance with Alpha AML Training and One AML, ensures our clients get the technology, training and expert advice they need to embed compliance with minimal disruption.”
Unlike simple ID checks or basic VOI providers, First AML’s centralised platform goes far beyond identity verification to meet the full requirements of Tranche 2 legislation. Under the new rules, real estate agencies must manage risk assessments, maintain robust recordkeeping and carry out ongoing monitoring as well as identity checks - all of which can be done within the First AML platform.
Backed by tailored training and expert consulting, this comprehensive solution helps offices embed genuine AML compliance, not just tick the ID box, while keeping operations efficient and client experience smooth.
