Robust market drives Commercial WA's award winning success

Like other sectors of the Australian economy, Perth's commercial property market was forced to take a breather as it negotiated the Global Financial Crisis (GFC).
However the GFC failed to stymie the success of Raine & Horne Commercial WA and its star agent and proprietor, Anthony Vulinovich, from enjoying an excellent 2009.
"Like the rest of Australia, the first half of 2009 was subdued for Perth's commercial property market," said Mr Vulinovich, who was recently named Raine & Horne Commercial's Top Sales Person for dollar value and number of sales.
"However, in the second half we have seen more confidence returning to the market, highlighted by a recent WA Chamber of Commerce survey that indicated 50% of Perth businesses were expecting the economic rebound to continue.
"On the back of this, we're expecting good sales results for the last quarter of 2009.
Underlining Mr Vulinovich's individual success, Raine & Horne Commercial WA also grabbed first place in the Top Commercial Office for dollar value. This result nudged the Subiaco-based business ahead of more than 30 Raine & Horne Commercial offices.
As for 2010 and beyond, Mr Vulinovich said continued demand for resources, manufacturing products and skilled labour would underpin WA's population growth.

"WA is growing at around 220 people a day. This will drive demand for goods and services, which will flow into increased demand for industrial and commercial property.
"We're optimistic that values in fringe CBD and suburban office precincts in Perth, as well as industrial areas east and north of the CBD, will stabilise and then show growth in 2010 due to restricted supply and increased buyer demand

"If the RBA continues to tighten monetary policy then this will be a factor in 2010. However the ongoing demand for resources, particularly oil and gas, should offset ongoing interest rate risks."
CEO Raine & Horne Commercial, Angus Raine, said Mr Vulinovich and Raine & Horne Commercial WA's point of difference was its ability to work closely with clients to help them develop and bring to market medium to large development projects.
"Rather than taking a scatter-gun approach to securing sales and leases, Anthony, his business partner Terry Menage and the Raine & Horne Commercial WA team work hard at building lasting relationships with their clients," Mr Raine said.
"As a result, Raine & Horne Commercial WA is winning significant market share in its core markets - fringe CBD and suburban office precincts and industrial areas north and east of the CBD.
"The success of Raine & Horne Commercial WA's strategy is clearly demonstrated by success at the Raine & Horne National Awards."
