Daniel Sutton

With over 25 years of experience in asset management across all asset classes, both in Australia and internationally, Daniel brings exceptional expertise to his role as Director and Head of Asset Management at Raine & Horne Commercial Retail Services.

His career includes senior leadership positions such as Centre Manager at Chadstone Shopping Centre — Australia’s largest and highest performing retail asset — along with General Management roles at leading Australian property groups including Colonial First State Global Asset Management (owned by CBA), Federation Centres and Vicinity Centres. Daniel’s experience spans the management of commercial and retail assets nationally, complemented by international shopping centre experience as Director of Asset Management for Nakheel, the sovereign fund of Dubai.

Daniel is highly experienced across all asset management disciplines, including asset and property management, leasing and development. His comprehensive understanding of commercial and retail legislation, strategic planning and financial performance enables him to deliver strong, sustainable economic outcomes for clients and stakeholders.

Combining deep technical capability with high-performance leadership and an extensive professional network, Daniel is a key driver within Raine & Horne Commercial Retail Services, focused on achieving exceptional commercial results and supporting long-term growth.

Daniel’s industry standing has also led to his involvement in a number of professional bodies and initiatives. He has served as a past Chairperson and committee member of the Retail Committee of the Property Council of Australia, presented and facilitated at various Property Council events, and participated as a mentor in the PCA “500 Women in Property” program, supporting the advancement of future industry leaders.
