DAYTIME TESTING FOR PARRAMATTA LIGHT RAIL NETWORK HAS BEGUN

Parramatta Light Rail is now being tested in both directions between Carlingford and Westmead via Parramatta CBD. This marks another milestone as the system gears up for passenger services later this year.

For the first time, Parramatta workers and residents are witnessing the 45-metre trams travel in the heart of Parramatta during off-peak times between 10am and 3pm.

Parramatta Light Rail Stage 1 testing continues to gather pace, with more daytime testing ahead across the entire alignment to ensure the safety and reliability of the system before passenger services can commence.

The light rail is said to bring a huge boost to connectivity and transportation moving over 28,000 passengers each day with one running every 7 minutes in its peak.

This project has been a long time in the making and to see it near completion (mid-2024) is incredibly momentous for everyone involved.
