Resources-related firms are continuing to tap into Brisbane industrial space with a steady trickle of leasing deals being struck despite the sector’s pullback.

US-based company Cactus Wellhead is expanding its operations into the local market and has secured a 1400sq m office/warehouse with dedicated hardstand area north of Brisbane.

It has taken a three-year lease with a three-year option on the facility at 340 South Pine Rd, Brendale. The initial leasing rate is $160,000 a year gross plus GST.

Tim Jones from Raine & Horne Commercial, who negotiated the deal, said with only a handful of suitable options the company moved quickly to secure the property. “They had a fairly specific criteria,” he said. “The main thing was they wanted something corporate and modern that presented well with a dedicated hardstand area, which is difficult to find at the moment.

“There were probably only three or four options that could have worked for them but this one stood out by a country mile. It ticked all the boxes.”

Cactus Wellhead is a Texas based manufacturer of pressure control equipment used during drilling, completion and production operations on land and offshore.
