A 950sqm freestanding warehouse has sold at Lawnton, a rare find for commercial buyers in the current market.
"There's not a lot of quality freestanding properties at this time," according to Matthew Thomson, of Raine & Horne Commercial, who secured the sale at 13 Paisley Drive, Lawnton.
The premises, on a 2,040sqm block of land with two street access via both Paisley Drive and Walter Crescent, sold for $1.25 million.
It was only on the market for about three weeks, according to Mr Thomson.
He said the price was consistent with other properties of a similar size sold in the area.
The buyer, who is relocating from Brendale, is planning to occupy the building and expand its business. Mr Thomson said his clients had plans to renovate the building to bring it up to a more modern standard.
Mr Thomson said the sale followed a recent trend within the commercial property market, which was the increased interest in properies below the $3 million price point.
