11/07/2014 - Di Bella Brews a Deal

Chris Herde

Brisbane-based Di Bella Coffee is slowly perculating its property holdings having bought an office that will link

its Bowen Hills headquarters with its its drive-thru site. The company has settled on the off-market purchase of a converted office at 84 Abbotsford Rd for $1.85 million.

The property, previously owned by the Master Plumbers Association of Queensland, has Di Bella’s leased drive-thru coffee site on one side and its owned properties at 82, 84 and 78 Abbotsford Rd from which it operates its business.

Raine & Horne Commercial’s Alex McSweeney, who struck the deal, said Di Bella looked at sites around Brisbane.
“When this one became available they jumped at the opportunity,” he said.

“They had been approached about it previously but at the time it didn’t suit them.

“Now Di Bella can connect all their businesses together and there’s the potential for redevelopment.”

The freestanding property features 500sq m of office space over two levels and 69sq m of storage/warehouse space.

It has meeting rooms, training rooms, a kitchen and amenities on both levels as well as eight to 10 carparks. Mr McSweeney said the property was marketed for 12 months through other agents.

“Ideally the Master Plumbers wanted to lease it out but the market wasn’t interested enough so we approached the neighbours,” he said.
