An environmental cleaning company has expanded next door, securing a three-year lease on an office/warehouse in the northern suburbs.
In a deal negotiated by Raine & Horne Commercial’s Tony Mayfield, Envirosmart Industrial has moved some of its operations into a 1151sqm freestanding building at 7 Unley St, Brendale.
‘It made sense to them to stay where they were (at 9 Unley St) and expand next door,’ he said.
Mr Mayfield said the company will pay $103,590 a year and have a three-year option on the lease.
The building has a spray booth with full extraction, full fencing and 16 car parks.
‘The place was vacant for about four months,’ Mr Mayfield said. ‘We ran a campaign on it and had six to seven inquiries. ‘The building lends itself to manufacturing rather than wholesaling.’
The Australian-owned EnviroSmart produces environmentally friendly biologically active spill control products, chemicals, microbes and water treatment systems.
Mr Mayfield said the Brendale industrial market remained ‘quite strong’. ‘The inquiry level is very constant in Brendale,’ he said. ‘Like everywhere there is a lot of vacancy… in the 600sqm range.
‘But the next largest- the 1000sqm plus- there is not much of that.’
