A stainless steel distribution company has secured new premises at Virginia which has doubled the space it previously operated out of.

The group has undergone significant growth in recent months so has signed a five-year lease on 2,090sqm office/warehouse facility at 23 West Place.

It was previously housed just a street away in Northlink Place, Virginia.

The West Place property was marketed for lease through Lawrence Temple of Raine & Horne Commercial with Nick Witheriff of CB Richard Ellis introducing the tenant.

Australian Stainless Distributors has secured a five-year lease on the site with a five-year option.

Industry sources say the property would have leased for about $115 per sqm.

Mr Witheriff said the group had been in the market for almost 10 months. As a result when 23 West Place became available the lease was finalised in a matter of weeks.

"The facility is a freestanding building located on a 4,335sqm site at the centre of Virginia's industrial precinct,"Mr Witheriff said.

Mr Temple said the complex drew a lot of inquiries which he believes is because of its location and high hardstand component.

Mr Witheriff said the group had found it difficult to find anything previously which suited its need, it wanted to remain in the area and needed good truck access.

"I had been speaking to the local state manager for about 12 months and we met with the general manager of the company who came up from Melbourne half a dozen times," he said.

"When this property came on the market the deal was done basically in two weeks."
