Brisbane, Queensland (9 March 2026) – Leading commercial real estate group Raine & Horne Commercial has successfully completed its Q1 2026 edition of its popular National Auction Event, which was highlighted by the auction sale of a significant industrial investment in Lawnton[i], in Brisbane’s north, for $6.5 million to a Brisbane investor.

The auction, which featured nine quality commercial properties, was held with in-room bidding at Raine & Horne Commercial Brisbane North in Kedron on 4 March 2026. The tale of the tape included $15 million+ in sales, with nine properties offered, six sold and two currently under negotiation.

In total, the event attracted 17 registered bidders and generated 72 bids.

Trent Bruce, Managing Director of Raine & Horne Commercial Brisbane North, said the auction featured a diverse mix of assets across the industrial, retail and office sectors and attracted strong interest from investors and owner-occupiers.

“The National Auction Event campaign generated excellent market engagement, with bidders including local Brisbane investors, an interstate buyer and several owner-occupiers seeking to secure locations to operate their businesses,” Mr Bruce said.

“The buyer mix reflects the depth of demand across multiple commercial property sectors in Brisbane, with competitive bidding demonstrating the continued appeal of well-located assets.”

Mr Bruce said the results reinforced the strength of Brisbane’s commercial property market, with buyers continuing to pursue opportunities offering secure income streams and enduring growth potential.

“In particular, the large industrial investment at 44 & 46 Paisley Drive, Lawnton generated significant interest, with local investors recognising the future upside of the asset,” he said.

“The property’s land-rich nature with short-term leases, provide clear future rental growth which was a major drawcard for investors seeking to capture future value.”

Listed by Riley Hall, Luke Hobman and Trent Bruce of Raine & Horne Commercial Brisbane North, this rare industrial investment comprises three freestanding buildings providing 2,975 sqm of functional warehouse space.

The property is positioned on a large, combined landholding of 5,868 sqm* with prominent street frontage in a tightly held industrial pocket.

It has a diverse tenancy mix across 13 tenants, ranging from 148 sqm to 592 sqm, and generates a current holding income of $319,356 per annum gross + GST.

$155 million and counting as National Auction Event cements its place on the property calendar

Since its launch in November 2023, the Raine & Horne Commercial National Auction Event has generated $155 million in sales, confirming its position as a fixture on the national commercial property calendar.

Chris Nicholl, CEO of Raine & Horne, said the strong results achieved in Brisbane were yet another example of the growing momentum behind the national auction platform.

“The excellent results in Brisbane, led by the $6.5 million industrial investment sale in Lawnton, and a total of $15 million+ in sales, highlight the continued strength of investor and small business demand for well-located commercial assets,” Mr Nicholl said.

“Our National Auction Events display the depth of opportunities our network is bringing to market across the industrial, retail and office sectors, while also demonstrating the strength and alignment of our national team that covers every capital city and many major regional growth hubs across Australia.

“Buyers are continuing to seek out assets that offer secure income streams and future growth potential, particularly in fast-growing capital city markets such as Brisbane.”
