Up until 2007 Greystanes was used as a quarry having been in operation for over 100 years, it has now become the preferred industrial location in western Sydney.

The site has received Part 3A ministerial approval for subdivision and industrial development under the State Environmental Planning Policy No.59 – Central Western Sydney Economic and Employment Area for a total of 240,000 square metres of industrial property. Greystanes allows for a wide range of industrial uses including warehousing, manufacturing, logistics, storage, and research and development.
Plans include a dedicated bus Transitway running along Reconciliation Drive (main trunk road servicing Greystanes running north and south) to the employment precinct, meaning workers will be able to leave their cars at home. Reconciliation Road will provide direct access to Wetherill Park and Sydney’s south western suburbs when extended to Windmere Road in mid 2011. A dedicated bus transit way will service the estate and provide direct links to Liverpool, Parramatta and Blacktown
The site is currently the home for noteable users including Allied Pickfords, Linfox, Cadbury Schweppes and Laminex with the most recent additions being Fujitsu , Solaris and Symbion.
